Listed from the author's README. GameSkill has not run this end to end yet. Agent support and install steps are as documented by the author.

Install

Clone, then publish a game repo
git clone https://github.com/htdt/godogen.git
cd godogen
./publish.sh --engine godot --agent claude --out ~/my-game

For Claude Code this writes CLAUDE.md and .claude/skills/. Use --agent codex to get AGENTS.md and .agents/skills/ instead.

Other engines
./publish.sh --engine godot-gdscript --agent claude --out ~/my-game
./publish.sh --engine bevy --agent claude --out ~/my-game
./publish.sh --engine babylon --agent codex --out ~/my-game

Commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository before running anything on your machine.

What you get

  • A published game repository wired to your agent
  • Asset generation for images, sprites, music, TTS and 3D, local or via API
  • Browser capture for visual checks on web engines

Good fit

  • Letting an agent run long, autonomous build loops
  • Comparing engines: the same pipeline targets Godot, Bevy and web

Not for

  • Windows-only setups: the documented system packages are for Linux and macOS

Overview

Godogen generates a complete game repository for the agent you use. publish.sh writes the instructions file and the skill folders for your engine and agent, and from then on the agent drives the build loop on its own: it writes code, generates or scripts assets, runs the game and captures the result to check its work.

It is one of the few kits here that targets several engines from one pipeline. That makes it a useful reference even if you never use it directly.

Requirements

  • Godot 4 on PATH (the .NET build for C#)
  • Rust/Cargo for Bevy; Node.js 22.12+ for Babylon.js and three.js
  • Python 3 with pip
  • Blender on PATH (recommended, for 3D models and animation)
  • Optional: GOOGLE_API_KEY, XAI_API_KEY or TRIPO_API_KEY for generated assets, or a local NVIDIA GPU with godogen_assets
  • Tested on Ubuntu, Debian and macOS
