Not for
- Free use: every generation costs Scenario Creative Units
- Bundling into closed-source tools: the extension is GPL-3.0-or-later
Overview
Scenario for Blender is Scenario's own, explicitly experimental Blender extension. It adds Scenario generation to the sidebar and runs a local MCP server (http://127.0.0.1:9876/mcp), so agents can read the scene and request generations into it.
Before you install, note that the extension is licensed GPL-3.0-or-later, needs a Scenario account with API key and secret, and charges Creative Units for each generation. The local MCP endpoint needs no credential, so any program on the computer can connect and request paid work. Arbitrary Python execution is a separate opt-in and is off by default. Read the repository's known limitations before relying on a workflow.
Related: Scenario Skills (MIT) are Scenario's agent workflows, and MCP for Blender is a free, open Blender bridge.
Requirements
- Blender 5.0 or later
- A Scenario account with API access (key and secret); generations consume paid Creative Units
