Listed from the author's README. GameSkill has not run this end to end yet. Agent support and install steps are as documented by the author.

Install

CLI setup
npm install -g unity-mcp-cli
unity-mcp-cli install-plugin ./MyUnityProject
unity-mcp-cli login
unity-mcp-cli open ./MyUnityProject

login signs in to ai-game.dev in your browser. Opening the project connects it and generates skills automatically.

Plugin only
openupm add com.ivanmurzak.unity.mcp

Then open Window/AI Game Developer in Unity and click Auto-generate skills, or Configure MCP.

Commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository before running anything on your machine.

What you get

  • 70+ built-in tools in four categories
  • Auto-generated project skills for your agent
  • A one-line attribute that turns any C# method into a tool

Good fit

  • Unity developers who want skills generated from their own project
  • Extending the tool set with custom C# tools

Not for

  • Setups where signing in to a third-party service is not allowed

Overview

AI Game Developer is the second large community Unity bridge. Where MCP for Unity focuses on the MCP server, this project also generates skills from your project, so the agent arrives knowing your project's structure. Marking any C# method with one attribute turns it into a tool the agent can call.

The CLI handles the whole setup. If you would rather avoid the CLI, install the plugin through OpenUPM or the .unitypackage.

Requirements

  • Unity
  • Node.js for the CLI
  • An ai-game.dev sign-in for the CLI flow
