Overview

MCP for Unity is the most widely used Unity MCP server on GitHub. It runs a local server that connects your MCP client to the open Unity Editor, so the agent can create objects, change components, edit C# scripts and run Editor automation, instead of only editing files on disk.

Setup has three steps: add the package from the git URL, let the Configure All Detected Clients window write the MCP config for the agents it finds, then send a prompt.
