Listed from the author's README. GameSkill has not run this end to end yet. Agent support and install steps are as documented by the author.

Install

Unity Package Manager → Add from git URL
https://github.com/Besty0728/Unity-Skills.git?path=/SkillsForUnity

Append #beta for the beta branch or a tag such as #v1.6.0 to pin a release.

Start the server (inside Unity)
Window → UnitySkills (Alt+Shift+U) → server toggle
Install the skills for your agent (inside Unity)
Window → UnitySkills → pick your agent's icon → Install

Copies the unity-skills~ template into the agent's skills folder. A Custom Path option and a manual copy method are documented for other agents.

Commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository before running anything on your machine.

What you get

  • 839 REST skills across 54 categories, with batch operations
  • 29 advisory design modules (architecture, performance, patterns and more)
  • Approval / Auto / Bypass permission modes and a JSONL audit log
  • Dry-run and plan modes, per-task undo and transactional batches that roll back on failure
  • Multi-instance control with automatic port discovery

Good fit

  • Letting Claude Code, Codex or Cursor edit scenes, prefabs and components in the open Unity Editor
  • Teams that want an approval step and an audit trail for agent edits

Not for

  • Unity versions older than 2022.3: some 2021 code remains, but it is no longer tested

Overview

UnitySkills is one of the larger community unity skills packs. A Unity package runs a REST server inside the Editor, and a set of Agent Skills shows your coding agent how to call it. The agent can then create GameObjects, change components, materials, lighting, Cinemachine, NavMesh and more in the open project, instead of editing scene YAML on disk.

Most of the repository is about safety. New installs start in Auto mode, which blocks high-risk operations. ?mode=dryRun and ?mode=plan check a call and estimate its effect without writing anything. Every call is logged to Library/UnitySkillsAudit.jsonl, and workflow_undo_task rolls back a single task.
