3D Assets to Engine

Roadmap: Art assets

Three tested routes for 3D assets: export from Blender 5.2 with verified presets, rebuild a reference image as a code-only Three.js model, or shrink image-to-3D output to a web budget.

If the model exists in Blender, use the export pipelines: presets for Godot/web GLB, Unity, Unreal and Roblox, run headless on Blender 5.2.3. If you only have a picture and want a web-ready model, img2threejs rebuilds it in code through quality gates. If an image-to-3D service gave you a heavy glb, multiview-to-web-3d-asset (our original) simplifies it, applies Draco and builds LODs, then checks a triangle and file-size budget. All three carry our tested badge.

Self-check

  • Scale is applied and units are metres before export
  • Web models are GLB with meshopt or Draco, inside a size budget
  • The exported file is re-imported and checked, not just written
  • Code-built models pass the spec gate before code is generated
